NAMI’s 10th Anniversary Showcase
NAMI’s 10th Anniversary Showcase Presents a New Era of Technological Achievement
Nano and Advanced Materials Institute Limited (NAMI) is designated by the Innovation and Technology Commission of the Hong Kong Government as a Research and Development Centre for nanotechnology and advanced materials with over 150 expertise across multiple disciplines.
Over 200 guests attended the official opening on 19 April, including Ms. Annie Choi, J.P., Commissioner for Innovation and Technology and other government officials, collaborators and partners.
Breathable Nanofiber Facemask was the product highlights at the showcase.
Aiming to address the increasing demand for a functional facemask to combat both seasonal influenza and air pollution, NAMI and its collaborator developed a breathable nanofiber facemask named “NASK”, which combines the comfort of a surgical mask and the protection of an N95 respirator. “NASK” won the Silver Medal at the 44th International Exhibition of Inventions of Geneva and a Gold Medal at the Point-of-Care Diagnostic Platform Technology, both distinguishing acknowledgements of its success.
